James Patrick Walsh, age 87, of Brooklyn, Hants County, passed away on June 9, 2016 at Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in Halifax on November 1, 1928, he was a son of the late Louis and Voilet (Kenny) Walsh. James is survived by his wife of 64 years, Marguerite Mary (Sampson); his children, Louis (Angie), Elliott Lake; Gregory (Rose), Brooklyn; Patrick, (Diane), Amherst; and Cindy (Frank) Starratt, Brooklyn; grandchildren, Ryan, Kyle Lydia, Anna, Stephanie, Corwin, Curtis, and Trevor (Tamara) and their children, Zane and Ezra; his brothers, Michael (Helen), Peter (Rosalee), and William (Vivian) and their families; his sisters, Marion (Burris) McManns, Pauline (Don) Milne, Catherine (Roy) Crowell, Barbara Walsh, and Mary McSween and their families; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, James was predeceased by his brothers, Fred and Joseph; his sister, Maureen; and grandson, Matthew. Cremation has taken place with no visitation by request. A private family committal service will be held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Sackville at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of the J.
