MCCARTHY - Clarence William, Jr., age 82, of Three Mile Plains, passed away on November 8, 2016 at home in the care of his loving wife. Born in Windsor, NS on October 18, 1934, he was a son of the late Clarence "Cad" and Evelyn (Wile) McCarthy. Dad loved his family, baseball, and fishing. He was happiest at the camp on Panuke Lake with friends and family. Clary is survived by his wife of 57 years, Faye (Benedict); children, Tammy (Dale) Page, Mark (Karen), Donna (Floyd) Wile, Luke (Shannon), and Matt (Rhonda); daughter-in-law Julie; ten grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; three sisters, and two brothers. Besides his parents, Clary was predeceased by his son Jeff, grandson Patrick, and a sister. Cremation has taken place with no visitation or service at Clary's request. Donations in his memory may be made to Palliative Care Unit at Hants Community Hospital, 89 Payzant Drive, Windsor, NS B0N 2T0; or the VON, 9319 Commercial St., New Minas, NS B4N 3G2.
