LAKE - Madge Albertha, age 83, of East Walton, passed away on March 28, 2017 at Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in Tennecape on July 26, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Alicia (Hill) McLellan. A strong-willed and independent woman, Madge was a loving mother and grandmother who was always there for her family. She loved singing and dancing, and her home was always filled with music. Madge is survived by her companion, Garnet Northup; son, Terry; grandchildren, Ross (Jylian Bartlett), Cole, Ally, and Sam; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Madge was predeceased by her husband, Chester; sister, Stella Lawrence; and brothers, Prescott and Marvin McLellan. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 29 from 7-9pm, with a funeral service Thursday, March 30 at 2pm, both at J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home, Summerville, Rev. Garnet Parker officiating. Private interment at Tennycape Cemetery. Flowers are welcome; donations in memory of Madge may be made to a charity of one's choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of the J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home, Hwy 215, Summerville; 1-902-633-2431.
