Obituary of Annie Isabelle White

WHITE – Annie Isabelle, age 86, of White Settlement, passed away on September 28, 2017 at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Maitland on April 6, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Leander and Fanny (Paugh) MacKenzie. Annie met and married Basil White in White Settlement. She loved music, reading, doing puzzles, and going for drives. Annie had a soft spot for children and animals, especially cats. She was a devoted member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. Annie will be sadly missed by her daughters, Mae Patterson (Bill), Scotch Village; Charlotte Dwyer (Raymond), Manganese Mines; Marilyn Burns (Joe), Truro; and Wilma MacDonald, Centre Rawdon; her sons, Carley, Tatamagouche; Leander (Lolita), White Settlement; John, Gore; Hughie (Vanessa), Belmont; and Scott (Rebecca), Noel Road; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, Annie was predeceased by her husband, Basil; son, Charles; and brother, Laurie. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 1 from 7-9pm, with a funeral service on Monday, October 2 at 2pm, both at J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home, Kennetcook, Benny Isenor officiating, with interment at Kennetcook Cemetery.
