DEARMAN – Doreen May (Elliott), age 69 of Beaverbank, passed away suddenly at home on March 9, 2018. Born in Centre Rawdon on January 22, 1949, Doreen was the daughter of Hazel (Sanford) Elliott and the late Reg Elliott. Besides her mother, Doreen is survived by her companion, Benny Britten; sons, Kevin (Sue), West Gore; and Kenny (Melissa), Porters Lake; daughter Belinda, Burlington; brothers Reg (Gaylene), and Roger (Corinne); sisters Debbie, Brenda (Tim), Kathy, Deanna (Tom), Trish (Bill), and Tammy (Glen); many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her father, Doreen was predeceased by her husband, John; brother Harold, and sister Linda. Cremation has taken place with no visitation by request. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, March 15 from 2-4pm at the Nine Mile River Community Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated for the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, 5657 Spring Garden Road, Halifax, NS B3J 3R4, or the West Gore Cemetery c/o Joyce Custance, 78 Ray Custance Road, Rawdon Gold Mines, NS B0N 2N0.
