You will be missed by many. Many years have gone by since I last saw you, what with the miles that we were apart. I remember the time that you paid for our lunch at the Cable House Café in Sayward, B. C., on Vancouver Island. That was many years ago. I remember the time that we attended your Daughter Tracy's and her husband Bobbie's wedding in 1988. I remember our visit with you at our home in Campbell River, B. C.. Now, living in Enderby, B. C.. Love, Your Sister-in Law, Pam (Jack is in our memories and our hearts now).

We did not actually meet Doug officially but have visited the winery on many occasions over the past 5 years.
We were also the organizers of the Windsor Lions Club's 1st Craft Beverage Showcase and very pleased that your winery participated in it.
Doug sounded like an amazing person that will be greatly missed.

Always a good day at Halifax City Hall in the 1980's when Doug Corkum would come by to see Mayor Ron Wallace. I was a secretary in the Major's office at the time. Doug was with the Halifax Industrial Commission. Along with this, Doug was applying for papers to open a winery in Hants County, my home terrirory. Had his fingers in everything.
The world is a better place because Mr. Corkum passed through. He definitely left his mark. He is a part of my happy memories at City Hall. Good Bye Doug.....RIP
The staff at Winemakeri are so sad to hear of Doug's passing this week. We will miss the grumbly banter (How are you doing Doug? - Oh just terrible!") when Doug would pick up an order. And of course the famous Farmers Market wine spritzers. May you enjoy an eternal glass of Baco in heaven. Cheers.

Dear Suzanne and family! I was both shocked and saddened to learn of Doug's passing. It was not long ago, we passed each other and had a quick but amusing conversation! Doug is a legend! Shared many miles with Doug while travelling on Evangeline Train Tourism Business. Doug was focused and determined in all that he did! The wine industry as well as the tourism industry has lost one of its greatest ambassadors. My thoughts are with you all during this most difficult time!

Sharon and I were so sorry to hear of Doug passing.
It seem such a long time ago when I first met Doug at his Tasty Treat in Dartmouth. MY it was a long time ago. Late 1960's. We became friends immediately. He was one of the real good guys. We all enjoyed the friendships at Friday Night Bowling and later at the golf club. He will be missed and not forgotten. Our thoughts will be with You and Your Family in the sad day ahead.

Suzanne Michael and family sorry to hear of Dougs passing..The last time we talked was at the restaurant in Windsor last year..We all lost touch over the years and it was good to have reconnected..Take care everyone..Don..
I’ve known Uncle Doug my whole life. I never knew what he was going to say whenever I would meet up with him over the years, but I always knew he would make me laugh and I would get a big hug!
The world will certainly be different without him in it – truly an end of an era in this family.

Mike and Family, Sincere Condolences from Australia. Although only meeting Mr Corkum once last summer when visiting with Mike, he welcomed me with open arms and a hug I shall never forget ! Mike shared many stories of his Dad with me which were far from boring!!!!!! HUGS
My husband and I met Doug at Christmas at the Forum years ago and it was love at first sight for me and him! He was always teasing my husband that we were going to run away together but we know the real love of his life was his wife! He was such a lovely man and we so enjoyed his great sense of humour every time we saw him at the market. Our sincere condolences to your family, I’m sure he will be dearly missed. We are so sad to hear he’s gone. I’m sure he’s now in heaven teasing everyone there. God bless!
I am so, so very sorry for your loss and Suzanne I can not express how sorry I am to hear of Doug's passing. I always had fun with him through the years when he would be at the winery the same time I was.
He will certainly be missed and he was certainly one hell of a gentleman and just an all round great man.

Our family thought of Doug as part of our family. His personality was exuberant and that’s what we loved about him. Our girls considered Doug as another “ Grampie”. If he saw us at the grocery store, he would grab one of my girls and completely turn them upside down, as they laughed their heads off. I just can’t imagine our world without him in it. We didn’t see him everyday, but it sure brighten ours when we did. “Corkum”........you will be greatly missed by our family.
I am so sorry to hear of Doug's passing, I first got to know him years ago when I worked at the Falmouth Kwikway and over the years since my days there I always enjoyed running into Doug. His sarcastic comments and quick responses always put a big smile on my face. I will miss his smile and wise cracks! My thoughts are with you all.

Dear Suzanne - We are so sorry to learn of Doug's passing. Each time Connie saw Doug he would smile and say - here comes trouble, it always brought a smile, then conversation about the weather and local news would ensue. A lovely man, he will be missed.
