We are so very sorry to hear of Aunt Hazel’s passing. Our Sincere Condolences to Laurie, Chris and their families. I would often stop by for a visit when home from Ontario. When covid came, travel became less. It appears time and distance become one of our worst enemies when it comes to keeping in touch with family. May you Rest easy in Peace and Love. I spent alot of time as a child at Harry and Hazel's beach with them and my parents. Fond memories of swimming, bbqing. Also lots of outings etc and they often were at our place as well. So very sorry to hear of her passing. Sandra Cox

Hazel was my teacher at Kds in grade 2 ,she left an everlasting impression on my life as I was a child with a disability and she treated me 100 percent with compassion and empathy,after I left high school like others I moved away fr our little community and a few years later along came Facebook which I was a part of until about a year ago and luckily enough I became friends with Hazel which let me reconnect ,my sincerest condolences in ur loss,Jason.

I have such warm thoughts of Aunt Hazel. I loved yo hear her laugh. I ran into her a few years back while grocery shopping. We had a wonderful chat and many laughs. To Laurie and Chris and their families my deepest sympathy. It is hard when the last parent passes. Hold tight to your memories and trust me you will pull up a memory often. I am saddened to hear about Hazel’s passing. She was my Fifth grade teacher in Five Mile River School. I was so Captivated with her it is beyond understanding. After growing up and moving away, I never heard about her for years. Then out of nowhere, I see this adorable Lady on Social Media by the name of Hazel Cochran. After I had confirmed she was Hazel Gorman, I immediately contacted her and we became fast friends. I remember telling her who I was and that she had been my First Love and my memories of her were always foremost in my mind. I never got to see her again, but the impression she made on me, I can only credit my path in life and my success to knowing her and the Love and Understanding she showed me in my early years. I am certain that she made this kind of impression on many young people during her years of being a Dedicated Teacher. She will always be fondly remember for the remainder of my Life. I was very saddened to read of Hazel’s passing. She was a very dear friend when I lived in Walton. Mildred, Hazel and I painted together every week. We took turns hosting and serving lunch. I loved her “Turkey A Go Go” casserole. Norma and Joan joined our group. We were all widows. A lot of laughter and yes some tears. What was said within the group of five stayed within the group. If those walls had ears. What fun we had. I feel as though I know you because She talked about you all with such love. She had a beautiful smile. We lost touch when I moved away. May her soul Rest In Peace. My heart aches for you during this very sad time. Donna.

So sorry to hear of Hazel’s passing, I’m sure she was proud to make her 90th birthday. Nannie (Dean) wanted to make 100 years but 99th year took her. Dot made 100 before she passed. I can’t remember Norma’s age when she went. They were beautiful and tough sisters, hopefully we can do as well as they did. Thoughts are with you all. Hazel took great pride in her Irish heritage and was fiercely proud of her Gorman clan. She was an avid listener and a wise judge of character. I'm truly grateful for our friendship and many laughs over the years. My deepest sympathy and love to all the family at this sad parting.

I am so sad to hear of Hazel's passing. I was very close to both Harry and Hazel growing up. I used to ride with Hazel to HNRH pretty much every day, and Harry took me home on the bus. Great memories
