Lake (Brown), Cathy Lynn – 60 of East Noel; It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Cathy on November 14th, 2022, in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Windsor on December 5th, 1961, she was the daughter of the late James and Sarah (Beckman) Brown. Cathy was a very hard worker; she worked a variety of jobs including planting trees, harvesting apples, peaches and corn for Sterlings Farm Market, Wolfville. She later enjoyed working for several years at Foggy Hollow Farms in Noel for Richard Thompson. In her spare time Cathy liked to play online scrabble with friends and of course loved to win. Cathy is survived by her loving partner; Larry Densmore of Noel, daughter Rachael of Noel, stepsons Chris of BC and Mitch of Truro, stepdaughter Julie of Halifax, grandchildren Victoria, Jaxson and Daniel, step grandchildren Nicole, Linley, Zoey and Levi, sisters Ann (Vance) Hanes of Upper Kennetcook, Joanne (Al) Cary of Onslow, Bonnie (Todd) McLellan of Rawdon, brothers Randy (Winnie) Brown of Tennecape, Stephen Brown of Truro, Frank (Joanne) Brown of Timberlea, Greg (Linda) Brown of Upper Kennetcook, Andrew (Becky) Brown of Stewiacke. Besides her parents, Cathy is predeceased by stepson Matthew Densmore. A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 17th, 2022, from 6 – 8pm, A Memorial service will be held on Friday, November 18th, 2022, at 2pm, Rev. Mike Poworoznyk officiating, both in the J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home, Kennetcook. A private family burial will take place in the Noel Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Cathy’s friend Marjorie for being there for her, and to all the VON and Palliative Care Doctors and Nurses at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro for their compassionate care.
