McLELLAN - Hazel Geraldine, age 86, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on June 24, 2017 at Vimy Court Nursing Home, Bible Hill. Born in East Noel on July 30, 1930, she was the only child of the late Chesley Roy Densmore and Selina Elizabeth Densmore, and remained in East Noel where she raised her family of eight children. Hazel was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed time riding her horse “Bonnie”, and in later years spent time talking to her precious cat, “Bimino”. Hazel stayed strong in her faith to the end. She is survived by her children, Erma (Willis) White, Avis (Bill) Colpitts, Terry (Val) McLellan, Archie (Patti) McLellan, Joy (Charlie) White, and Pam (Randy) Starratt; daughters-in-law, Joan McLellan, Kathy McPherson, and Bonnie McLellan; 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 3 step great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, Hazel was predeceased by her husband, Delbert; sons Leroy and Wilfred; and grandchildren Charlene, Gordie, and Brandon. Special thanks to the caregivers and the Palliative Care team of Vimy Court. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 26 from 7-9pm with a funeral service on Tuesday, June 27 at 2pm, both at J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home, Hwy 354 Kennetcook, Mr. Charles O’Regan officiating. Following the service there will be a committal at Noel Cemetery and a reception at the Noel Legion.
