Obituary of Jacqueline Irene White
WHITE – Jacqueline Irene, age 56, of Saskatchewan. It is with heavy hearts we announce that on June 9, 2018, angels swept down from above and took Jackie to her heavenly home. Born in Halifax on November 17, 1961, Jackie was the youngest daughter of the late Tom and Kathleen White. Jack will always be remembered as a very caring and generous lady. She always spoke her mind and loved animals. She was a loving wife to Douglas Ottenbreit and wonderful mother to Nick and Amy Strowbridge. Jackie is also survived by her siblings, Est (David) Brown, Cora (Glen) Martin, Grace (Gary) Beattie, Merlin White, Minnie (Wayne) MacLeod, Lona White (Kevin Tufts), and lifelong friend Roma Russell. Jackie has come home to Nova Scotia, where she will be laid to rest. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 15 from 7-9pm at J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home, Kennetcook, with a funeral service on Saturday, June 16 at 2pm at St. James Presbyterian Church, Noel Road, Rev. Garnet Parker officiating, with interment at St. James Presbyterian Cemetery. A reception following the service will be held at the home of Merlin White. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Noel Road Cemetery, c/o Goldie White, White Settlement Road, RR2 Kennetcook, N.S. B0N 1P0 or Yorkton SPCA, 79 7th Ave S. Yorkton, Sask. S3N 3V1.
