Obituary of Edmund Burns

BURNS- Edmund Robert, age 86 of Upper Kennetcook, passed away peacefully on March 21st, 2019 at the Mira Nursing Home, Truro, where he resided the last 12 years after suffering a stroke. Born in Upper Kennetcook on October 7th, 1932, he was the son of the late Reuben and Gertie (Dickson) Burns. Edmund worked in the woods, driving a porter until he retired at the age of 65. He always liked to joke around and carry on, as well as music and clapping his hands to the beat.   Edmund is survived by his wife Helen (Beach), daughter Linda (Greg) and son Paul, all from Upper Kennetcook. Grandchildren; Timothy and Jenna, Sister; Bernice (Gilbert) Ettinger and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by brothers; Laurie, Albert, Emmerson, Walter and Frank, granddaughter; Shelby Lynn. Cremation has taken place, no visitation or service by Edmund’s request. Celebration of Life to be held at Four Points Rec Center, 7070 Hwy 236, Upper Kennetcook, April 6th, 2019 from 1pm to 3pm.
