Lake – Douglas Harry- 70 of Dartmouth, formally of Cambridge Hants County, passed away peacefully at home on May 12th, 2019. He was the son of the late Robert and Mae (Spearing) Lake.

He was a retired warrant officer, CID, Mechanic in the arm forces, 25 years served in the airbourne , four tours in Cypress and RCR.

Doug had a great passion for being in the woods, whether it was doing work or taking in its tranquility and natural beauty.

He is survived by his son; James, daughter; Annette, Grandchildren; Krista, Amanda, James, Great Grandchildren; Jean, Danielle, Zosimus, Cypress and Summer. Daughter-in-law; Adrianne, Grand Son-in-law; James, Sisters; Valerie Randy Cox and family, Pamela O’Leary and family and Paula Henry and family.

Cremation has taken place and visitation/reception will be held from 2:00 – 3:30pm, May 20th, 2019 in the J Wilson Allen Funeral Home Summerville and a private family burial will be held at High Head Cemetery, Cambridge, Rev. Garnet Parker officiating. Donations in memory of Doug can be made to High Head Cemetery c/o Paula Lake, 8140 Hwy 215 ,Cambridge, B0N 2R0.
