Thomas "Tom" Thistle Obituary

Thistle, Thomas Frank – 79 of Windsor formerly of Cheverie, NS passed away on May 14th, 2021 in Haliburton Place Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in St Anthony, NFLD on June 18th, 1941 he was the son of the late Thomas and Teresa (Clothier-Anderson) Thistle.


Tom lived in various places throughout his life. He graduated from St. John’s Memorial University as Heavy-Duty Mechanic #100. He later retired from Canadian Airlines as Chief Load Master.


Tom enjoyed travelling to different places and sharing with family and friends what he had seen and experienced along his journeys. He had a witty personality and could always fill a room with laughter and smiles. Tom held his family dear to his heart and will be missed by all who knew him.


Tom is survived by his children Susan, Karen and Thomas. A, grandchildren Nicole, David and Megan, greatgrandchildren Danika, Tanner and Francesca and Aunt Dorothy Rogers.


Besides his parents Tom is predeceased by his wife Heather Ann Bishop


Cremation has taken place, there will be a private family burial at a later date in the Cheverie Cemetery, Cheverie.
