Gilby, Vera Cavell, Enfield, passed away on March 8, 2025, at the age of 102 in the Magnolia Nursing Home, Enfield with her daughter and granddaughter by her side. Born in Georgefield on Aug. 27, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Ormal and Violet (Wood) McCulloch. Vera is survived by son Rodney Gilby, Alberta, daughters: Karen (Bobby) Turple, Alberta, Sharon (Dale) Dean, Truro, sister Faye Graham, Ontario. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 4 great great-grandchildren and 1 great great-great-greatgrandchild. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Norman, daughter Shirley MacLeod, sister Beryl Turple, brothers Ross McCulloch and John in infancy. Cremation has taken place with no visitation or service at her request, private family burial at a later date. Family would like to thank everyone at the Magnolia for the wonderful care that they gave to our Mother while she was there. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of the J.
