Obituary of George Archibald

Please share a memory of George to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of George Alexander Archibald on Mar 11, 2025, in the Colchester East Hants Health Center, Truro. Son of the late Alex and Ina (Webb) Archibald. Beloved husband to Susan, and cherished father of daughter Billy Jo, sons Jamie (Shauna) and Scott (Joni) Grandfather to Carson, Kyle, MacKenzie and Maddison, sisters Claire, Sandy and Susan (Harold), brother in laws Don White and Blair (Diane) Nuttall, sister in laws Laurine Archibald and Pamela Nuttall and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, George is predeceased by brother Thomas, sister Linda, brother in laws Doug Tanner and John Zandbergen. George worked for Dexter Construction for 45 years with his best friend Allen Gill and the last 24 with our son Jamie. He will be remembered for his outgoing personality and his crazy laughter. He loved to hunt and fish with his buddies and to toss back a drink or two. He was the life of the party, cruising down the road in his Ram truck and offering to give help to all those "Ford and Chevy boys," either a tow or a boast. George was one of the “good ole boys”, who everyone loved to hang out with. Cremation has taken place and there will be a private family burial in St. James Presbyterian Cemetery, White Settlement Road and a celebration of life will be announced when warmer weather arrives and the sun is shining so we can all toast the man who loved to embrace life to the fullest, until we meet again. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of the J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home, Hwy 354 Kennetcook, phone 902-362-2440 or please visit our website at www.allenfh.ca to sign the guest book or send private condolences.
