Obituary of Jeanne Wilcox

It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our family matriarch, Jeanne Wilcox, on March 8th, 2025, at her home in Pembroke, NS. Originally from Toronto, Ont., she moved to NS in 1978 with her husband and son. After moving to NS, she became very well known, loved and respected in Walton and the surrounding areas. She was known for working at Sobeys, Carlton Cards as well as for her outstanding cake decorating abilities. For years she was the go-to person for Birthday, Wedding and Anniversary cakes. She will also be remembered for her deep compassion, empathy and willingness to help other people. If anyone needed a friend to talk to, she was always there to answer the phone or to offer a cup of coffee or tea. She is survived by her husband Alan Wilcox, son Mitchell Wilcox (Jacqui Fenrick) of Sask., daughter Judy Diminutto of Pembroke, sister Dian Allain(Lee) of Quebec, eleven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren with two on the way this summer as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is predeceased by her mother, Germaine Levesque of Toronto, Father Louis Allain of Toronto, stepfather Henry Levesque of Toronto. Brothers Roger and Charles as well as son in law Dario Diminutto. I wish so much you wouldn’t cry The way you did today; While thinking of the many things We didn’t get to say. I know how much you love me As much as I love you; And each time that you think of me, I know you’ll miss me too. When tomorrow starts without me, Don’t think we’re far apart, For every time you think of me, I’m right there in your heart. Both a Celebration of Life and a private burial will be held on a later date.
