Wilcox, Alan Harvey- 69 of Pembroke, passed away on May 11, 2025, at home. Born in Pembroke NS on August 15, 1955, he was the son of the late Avard and Joan (Horn) Wilcox.
As a young man Alan struck out to Ontario, where he started driving tractor trailer. While there he met and married the love of his life Jeanne Wilcox (Allain). Together they moved back to Nova Scotia in 1978. Once back in Nova Scotia, Alan built a home for his family with his own hands. He also worked for Fundy Gypsum Company in Mantua, NS., for almost three decades. While there, he made the discovery of a lifetime when he found a piece of Mastodon tusk. He loved telling the story of finding the tusk to people and really enjoyed his trips to the Museum of Natural History to see it, where it’s still displayed today. After leaving the Gypsum company, he spent many years helping around Leonard's shop. Alan had many hobbies over the years including hunting, fishing and helping anyone who needed it. Most people knew they could show up to his personal Canadian Tire store and he would help any way he could. He was very well liked and respected in his community.

Although I may seem far away,
We will never truly part,
For part of me lives on forever,
There within your heart.
So remember to have faith,
Be courageous and be strong,
Think of me with a smile,
And when you hear a heartfelt song.
As life's beautiful journey continues,
May you remember now and then,
I will love and protect you always,
Until we meet again
