Goldie Brannon Obituary

Brannon, Goldie Mann (Sanford), 93, Centre Burlington, Hants Co., passed away peacefully on May 28th, 2025, at the Oceanview Nursing Home in Eastern Passage, Nova Scotia. She was born in Centre Burlington, Nova Scotia on September 19, 1931, to the late Clyde Sanford and Annie (Mann). She was married to the late Hugh Stephen Brannon for 49 years before his passing in 2000.


Surviving are her daughter Sharon (Tone) Derose, Whittier, California; sons, Stephen, Hughie and Mike, all of Vancouver, BC; Greg (Erica), Victoria, BC; Patrick (Christine), Dartmouth; 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and many nieces, nephews and friends. She is also survived by her brother Artie (Helena), Centre Burlington; Sisters, Beverly, Spryfield; Bette, Ontario; Carol (Blaine), Ellershouse and Suzie, Dartmouth.


She is predeceased by her husband Hugh, brothers Donnie and Billy, sister Nancy, grandson Cory and granddaughter Julie.


Goldie loved her family dearly. Everyone knew of her love of butterflies, bright colours and time spent together. She was always there for you when you needed her and will be deeply missed by her family and friends. As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses she believed in his promise from the bible of the resurrection and hope to live on a paradise earth.


A visitation will be held on June 3, 2025, from 6-8 pm in the J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home,, 4646 Hwy 215, Summerville and a memorial service will be held on Wednesday June 4th 2:00 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 7027 Highway 14, Sweet’s Corner, Hants County with Ben van Schie officiating.


Interment will take place in the Card Beach Road Cemetery, Center Burlington at a later date. Donations can be made to the Windsor Kingdom Hall, the Card Beach Road Cemetery or the Centre Burlington Community Hall.
