Laura Jolene Lake-45, Sackville, formerly of East Walton, N.S. Passed away on May 28, 2025, in the QEll New Infirmary Site. Born in Windsor, N.S. She was a daughter of Teresa (Lake) Lake and the late Kevin Lake.
Laura was always a bundle of joy with her warm smile and bubbly personality. Totally devoted to her family and true friends.
She had no siblings but spent nearly (24/7) all her time with her friend Sharroll next door, sharing many hours of play and adventure. The teen years brought many excursions with Brandi, Becky, Jamie and Kimto name a few. Graduating from Hants North in 1997, she continued to vocational School in Windsor taking an entrepreneurship course. Next, she was off to Walton working in the variety store for Cindy Lapiere for a few years. She then attended Success College in Sackville and working in group homes. She was severely injured by a client and spent the rest of her years on disability. With dampened spirits
she picked herself and adjusted her life meeting whatever challenges she faced with strength and courage.
She was a warm, giving and compassionate young women, selfless, always putting someone ahead of herself.
Kevin and I were both very proud of her.
She bought her own home and lived with her many fur babies who were her devoted children.
She is predeceased by her Father Kevin Lake and survived by her Mother Teresa (Lake) Lake, East Walton. She is also survived by many cousins and will be dearly missed by many.
Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of life will be held at 744 Hwy 215, East Walton, from 11 am to 4 pm on Saturday June 14, 2025, All welcome. Burial later in the Tennecape Cemetery.
