McLearn, Martin Bertram-July 30, 1928-May 1, 2025 Martin was born in South Rawdon and was a son of the late Welton and Alice (Mason) McLearn. He is survived by his sister Mabel Patterson; sisters -in -law Doris McLearn and Donna McLearn, and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he is predeceased by sisters Etta (Herman) Parker, Inez (John) McKinnon, Minnie McLearn, brothers Archie (Dot), Warren, Stewart, Lawrence, Eric and brother- in- law Lloyd Patterson. Martin never married, he went out west and lived there for many years, working for the Rural Telephone Company in Speers, Sask., while he managed his wheat farm. He moved back to South Rawdon in the early 80's and ran his own lumber mill, until he retired. He loved animals and working in his garden, never waiting long enough for the potatoes to mature, before digging into the side of the hill and taking a peek at them. He was always building things and tinkering around the yard, until he went missing from his home on August 13, 2017, and was never found. On May 1, 2025, Martin was declared deceased by the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of the J.
