Aubrey Earle Wilcox, age 90, passed away on August 12, 2025 in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor, with his family by his side.

Born June 16, 1935 in Pembroke, Hants Co., he was the son of the late Murlton and Sarah (Canning) Wilcox.

Dad is survived by his loving wife of almost 67 years, Shirley (Starratt) Wilcox; son, Brian Wilcox (Bonnie); daughters, Shawn Gould (Laurie) and Shannon Coolen (Jim); daughter-in-law Carol Wilcox; grandchildren: Brandon Gould (Nathan Chambers), Justin Gould (Madison Card), Samantha Wilcox (Leonard Schofield), Amanda Wilcox (Jeremy Brown), Linkin Coolen and Odin Coolen; great grandchildren: Serenity, Destiny, Jackson, and Parker; sister Ardith Mason; and brother Harold.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by son Darrell in 2018, sister, Audrey (in infancy), brother Arleigh, sisters-in-law Ethel and Mavis Wilcox, and brother-in-law George (Bud) Mason.

Dad was always interested in the different customs of our exchange students that lived with us over the years. "Grampie Wilcox" will be missed by each one.

Dad was a long time employee of Fundy Gypsum Co. in Windsor N. S. where he was a heavy equipment operator, retiring in 2000.

Mum and Dad took dancing lessons in their late forties and enjoyed going to local old time dances where they made many great friendships. Dad looked forward to Saturday night when he would duck out to the freezer and have a little nip of Captain Morgan before leaving for the dance. Mum and Dad were together since they were teenagers and as long as she was happy, he was too. Dad always put Mum and his family first and we were blessed to have him as a father for so many years. We will miss him forever.

There will be a graveside service on Monday August 18, 2025 at 11am at the Pembroke Chapel, #8903 Highway 215. All welcome. Feel free to bring a chair.
