It is with saddened hearts we announce the passing of Donald Grant Neil, 69, of Noel. Donald passed away on August 20, 2025, at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. He was born in East Noel on June 22, 1956, and was the son of the late James (Garfield) and Carrie Neil.

Donnie worked throughout his life as a very skilled automotive technician – working his younger years at Pothier Motors in Falmouth and retired as shop foreman at Blakies in Truro. He loved country music, enjoyed playing guitar and singing songs with his band.

Donnie was well known for his storytelling and contagious laughter. Even if you had heard a story before, he could make you laugh just as hard each time you heard it. He would often be found at Robin’s coffee shop in Kennetcook – having his double double and sharing stories with friends.

Donnie will be loved and missed deeply by his family. He is survived by: Girlfriend: Sandy Smith and Family; Sons: Jeff Neil and Delmer Neil (Ariel Mahoney); Daughter: Chelsea Dunbar Rojeski (Brian Rojeski); Grandchildren: Mason and Melody (Neil), John, Beau, Lexi Brother: David (Becky) Neil; Sister: Patricia (James) Eddy; Brother-in-law: Jordan Zwicker.

Donnie is predeceased by: Sister: June Zwicker

In accordance with Donnie's wishes, there will be no service or visitation. Cremation has taken place, and a private celebration of life will occur at a later date.
