On August 30th, 2025, I passed on from my earthly life to my heavenly home to be with my Lord Jesus. This is a happy day for me as I leave all pain and sorrow behind to spend eternity with my heavenly family. I realize that I will be leaving family and friends but have always had the prayer and the hope that they will sometime join me in a much better place.
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. Revelation 21:4King James Version (KJV)
I was the first child born to Tennyson and Gladys Anthony in Kennetcook, Nova Scotia. I lived there until I graduated from Hants North Rural High School. As I am one of three siblings and related to many other family members, my prayers have been that this separation will be just temporary. My two younger siblings are Priscilla Caroline (Anthony) Swank and Winston Wilson Anthony.
Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Psalm 16:11King James Version (KJV)
I have had a wonderful and interesting life. When a child, I enjoyed the home my parents provided for our family and the Christian upbringing we were given. Church, Sunday School, and Bible teaching in our home have been of life-long value to me as an adult. Being brought up on a small farm I acquired lessons and experiences of immeasurable worth.
Following my graduation from Hants North Rural High, I moved to Vernon, Connecticut, USA and was employed by the Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Company. It was with that company that I became an underwriter.
My thirst for higher education led me to enroll in Eastern Nazarene College in Massachusetts from which I graduated with a BSC degree. Summer employment and volunteer positions provided necessary funds, as well as the acquisition of valuable life skills.
Furthering my education, I obtained a Masters of Arts while teaching; thus, preparing me to teach in both Massachusetts and Connecticut. I was blessed to obtain teaching positions when returning to Nova Scotia in 1988.
My husband, Michael Moore, and I did volunteer Christian Education teaching for three years in the Kennetcook United Church and for 15 years held leadership positions at Big Lake Nazarene Camp in Big Lake, Cumberland County, NS.
I leave my wonderful husband, Michael. We were married on November 26, 1986, and have enjoyed an exceptionally wonderful marriage. I do know that we will rejoice when we meet again in heaven.
I just want to thank my wonderful Grace Baptist Church family for their care support and friendship, the Enhanced Adult Day Program who took such good care of their “queen “, all the staff at The Colchester Regional Hospital and especially the excellent care we received in the Palliative Care Wing. I would also like to thank my main caregivers who went above and beyond looking after me: Ann, Bonnie, Brenda and Jennifer. Most importantly, I would like to thank my wonderful God who walked with me all the way through this life. God bless all the people that have been part of me: LOVE Adrienne Moore
