Wilfred Webb Obituary

Webb, Wilfred Kenneth – 80 of East Gore; It is with profound sadness that the family of Wilfred Webb announce his passing peacefully on September 12, 2025, after a short stay at the Colchester East Hants Health Center, Truro. Born on August 10, 1945, in Noel., he was the son of the late Hazel (Webb) Huntley.


Wilfred worked at the Volvo Plant in Halifax for almost 30 years. After Volvo he then drove a school bus for a few years. After he finally retired for good, He could usually be found at his Tim Hortons and more recently at Robins in Kennetcook.


Wilfred will be most remembered for his compassionate nature, his generous heart, his sense of humour and ability to laugh at himself. He was a loyal friend always happy to start up a conversation with a friend or complete stranger. He enjoyed being a trustee of 15 years with the Nine Mile River Community Hall and spent many an evening enjoying the jamborees and dances.


Wilfred will be sadly missed by his loving common law spouse Ruby DeMont, his son Kenny (Kim) Webb, stepson Brian (Mitzi) DeMont, his furever friend ‘Lucky’, and numerous relatives.


Besides his mother Hazel and stepfather Clarence, he was predeceased by his son Richard, stepdaughter Gena and stepbrother Chris


A memorial service, officiated by Rev. Mike Poworoznyk, will be held Sunday October 5,2025 from 1:30 to 2 pm followed by a celebration of life from 2-4 at the Nine Mile River Community Hall, 7160 Highway 14, Nine Mile River.


If desired a memorial donation may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or Sand Hill Cemetery.
