Brenda Ettinger Obituary

Brenda May Ettinger, 63, of Truro Heights, Nova Scotia, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on October 13th, 2025 in the Colchester East Hants health Centre, Truro, N.S.. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Eddie and Edna (Clooney) Poulsen.


Brenda will be remembered for her warmth, generosity and the love she shared with her family and friends. She brought kindness and laughter to everyone who knew her. Her caring nature touched many lives throughout her life.


She is survived by her husband Steve, daughters Cassandra (Alex), Patricia (Matthew), grandchildren Lexi, Livie, Everett, her boys (dogs) Scout and Arlo. She is also survived by her sister Karen (Mark), sister-in-law Val (Dean), nephews Shawn (Jessica), Jeremy, niece Jennifer, great nephews Tristan, Zander, and Connor, and Uncle Jimmy (Judy) Clooney.


She is predeceased by sister, Charlene Barns and in-laws, Bert and Marge Ettinger.


Brenda's greatest pride was her grandchildren who she loved spending time with, baking with them, doing puzzles with Lexi and having craft nights with them. She also enjoyed camping with her family, many motorcycle trips with Steve, and just spending time together as a family. She got to experience many travels during her life with her Husband, Steve. She loved reading, walking the beach collecting sea glass, and playing cards. We will miss her planning our once a year get together to do Christmas crafts, beer Olympics and her sense of humour and her amazing cooking.


Brenda will be very deeply missed by her loved ones, who will forever cherish the many memories made together.


A private graveside service will be held at a later date in West Gore Cemetery, West Gore.
