Doris Diane Boutilier Brown passed away in the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor, on October 24, 2025, surrounded by her loving family after a short battle with cancer. Born in Dominion Cape Breton on July 16, 1952, Diane was the daughter to the late Duncan and Val Boutilier

Diane attended St Xavier University and graduated with a degree in science, later she attended Acadia University, graduating with a degree in Bachelor Computer Science. Diane taught school in Cape Breton, NFLD and Nova Scotia.

The family would like to thank the people in the Windsor Emergency and Palliative Care for their warm and caring support of Diane and her family. Also, a huge thank you to Dr. Wellwood for her compassionate care.

Diane is survived by her husband Gary; sister Marie Williams; brother Greg (Mary) Boutilier; nephews, Greg, Brad and Tommy; nieces Arlene and Laurie Ann; sister-in-law Phyllis Boutilier.

Besides her parents, Diane is predeceased by brothers Tommy and Ronald Joseph, niece Kimberly Maguiness and brother-in-law James Williams.

Cremation has taken place; a service will be held at St. John's Catholic Church Windsor NS. on October 31, 2025, at 11 am. Burial will take place in Dominion Cape Breton at a later date. Family flowers only. Donations in Diane's memory can be made to a charity of ones’ choosing.
