Alice Louise White 90, of Mayflower Meadows, Hants Community Hospital, Windsor, NS, passed away on November 9, 2025.

Born in North Salem, NS on May 2, 1935, Alice was the daughter of the late Bruce and Leona (Turple) Ainslie.

Alice earned her teaching certificate from the Teacher's College in Truro NS. She began teaching at the age of 17. During a teaching position in Noel Road, Alice met, and married, her future husband Milford.

Alice was employed for several years at Crossley Karastan in Truro, NS. Later, in life, she worked for Homecare services throughout Hants County.

Alice is survived by daughters: Nancy White and Joyce White, both of Mount Uniacke; Brother, Hedley Ainslie, Falmouth; Sisters: Mary Barkhouse, Noel Shore, Edith Rick, and Sara Downing, both of Ellershouse.

Alice had several grandchildren, Shannon, Ontario, Mark, British Columbia, Heidi, NS, Tiffany, Ontario and Jason, NS.

Also treasured by Alice were nine great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Alice is predeceased by husband Milford White, sons Austin and Murray, daughters, Janice and infant twin girls Loretta Lynne and Teressa Faye, brothers Albert, Robert and Bernard Ainslie, sister Margaret Weatherbee, and Grandson Tracy.

Alice had a great exuberance for life., an awesome sense of humor, and too many friends to mention. She always said she knew a million people. She had a special friend Joy, Noel. Alice also had special friends Adian and Evan whom she face-timed during their university studies and maintained contact after they finished their university programs.

A special thanks to all staff and personnel at Mayflower Meadows who went above and beyond in their care for Alice. We thank Dr. Smith for the dedicated care she provided Alice during her stay at Mayflower Meadows.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Alice.

Cremation has taken place, a graveside service will take place at Saint James Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Noel Road, NS on Tuesday, Nov 18, 2025, at 2pm.
