Linda Ann Sanford-77, New Cheverie Road, passed away on November 7, 2025, in Halifax. Born in Halifax on March 30, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Leo and Helen (Rowe) Oakley.

Linda is survived by children Susan Babcock (Ken), Juanita LeBlanc (Michael), Linna Martin (Richard), Rebecca Sanford (Kevin Hyrtle); 5 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren; Siblings, Leo “Lee” Oakley (Charlotte), Kathy Oakley (Glane Gorvette), Sharon Saulnier, Susan Meade (Terry), and close family friend, Jamie Smith.

Besides her parents, Linda is predeceased by Husband, Creighton "Sonny" Sanford, Siblings, Lorraine Vuletin (Branko), Elaine Oakley.

Linda was married to Creighton from October 2nd, 1966, until his passing, October 11th, 2015. They raised their 4 daughters in Cheverie, Nova Scotia, as well as doting of her dogs.

Linda loved feeding her hummingbirds, porcupines, raccoons, squirrels & stray cats.

She enjoyed watching western movies, hallmark Christmas movies, game shows and was the proud owner of what could be the worlds largest collection of VHS Disney movies.

Linda took solace in watching & taking pictures of sunsets at the Cheverie causeway. She also enjoyed fishing and watching deer eating apples.

Cremation has taken place, a visitation will be held Saturday Nov 15 from 2-4 pm in the J Wilson Allen Funeral Home Hwy 215, Summerville, private family burial at a later date.
