Richard Ross Meehan, age 73 of Rawdon Gold Mines, passed away at the Colchester East Hants Health Center, Truro, NS on November 13th, 2025.
Richard was the son of the late Ross and Bertha (Edel) Meehan.
He born in Windsor, NS, on September 23rd, 1952.
He loved dump trucks! He went out at 16 years old and bought himself one. It was his pride and joy! Later on, he drove a dump truck for Bob Elliott.
As time passed, he later worked at J. A. Meehan and Sons (meat shop), then for his brother David (Meehan’s Garage & Trucking Limited.)
Richard is survived by his wife Debbie (Kelly) Meehan, his daughter Tanya, son Ricky, granddaughters Shalena and Josie, great granddaughter Paisley, great grandson Edison. He is also survived by his brother David (Marlene) Meehan, his sister Cathy (Bruce) Gammon, sisters-in-law Patsy and Catherine (Bob), several nieces and nephews.
Beside his parents, he is predeceased by his brother Kevin.
A Celebration of Life will be held on November 22, 2025, at the Rawdon Gold Mines Community Hall from 1-3pm where there will be a time of sharing and reflection.
