Lawrence Faulkner Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lawrence Darrell Faulkner 92, Stanley, formerly of Summerville, passed away on December 21, 2025, at the Opal Hall Nursing Home, Dartmouth. Born in Kempt on Nov. 2, 1933, he was a son of the late Harry and Mildred (Smith) Faulkner. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Lawrence enjoyed farming and raising his own cows.


He drove School bus most of his life as well as doing janitor work at the school. After retiring, he became a handy man for a local electrician for a number of years.


Lawrence is survived by his son Darrell (Vicki), Summerville and daughter Darlene (Jerry) Dobson, Cambridge, Hants Co.

Grandchildren Crystal and Michelle Wenzel, Dustin and Natasha Faulkner and several great grandchildren. Also survived by his common law wife Blanche Swinamer.


Lawrence was predeceased by his wife Ethel (Burgess), brothers Frank, Ralph, Harold, Winfred and Ron, sisters Grace, Ruth and Dorothy “Dollie”


Cremation has taken place with no service by his request. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
