It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ted Graves-82, Garlands Crossing, formerly of Halifax who passed away peacefully on Jan 2, 2026, in the QEll, Halifax.
Born in Halifax on September 27, 1943, he was a son of the late Jack and Helen (O’Keefe) Graves
Ted is survived by his loving wife Debby (Allen), daughters Rhonda (Kevin), Charmaine and Tara. Grampy is also survived by grandchildren Victoria (Jake), Rebecca and Vincent.
Also surviving are his sisters Judie Graves, Jackie MacDonald and Marilyn (Bruce) Johnson and brothers John (Glennie Ruth) and Lou (Debbie). Many nieces and Nephews.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by sister Colleen Zwaagstra and husband Jerry and brother-in-law Moe MacDonald
Ted spent most of his working life running his own successful carpentry business.
Teds greatest enjoyment in life was motorcycling and dirt biking, but never more then when his wife Debby got her own motorcycle license and motorcycle and they rode the highways and back roads together, for the next 20 years throughout Canada and the US.
He was a quiet, kind man and never missed an opportunity to say “I Love You” to his daughters and grandchildren. They never had to doubt his love.
Cremation has taken place with no visitation or service at Teds request. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
