Owen David Leopold – 69 of New Ross Rd, passed away on February 5, 2026, in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in Halifax on June 7th, 1956, he was the son to Ruth (Redden) Leopold and the late Chelsey Leopold (Leminster).

Owen is survived by his wife Mary (Whitehead) Leopold; daughter Betty-Jo (Leopold) Lewis Warrington and two beautiful grandsons, Leo and Vernon Warrington.

Also, Brother, Kerry Leopold (Leminster), Mother-in-law, Audrey Whitehead (Three Mile Plains), In Law's, Emerson + Theresa Whitehead (Three Mile Plains) and Arnold + Nita Whitehead (Falmouth)

He is predeceased by his father Chesley Leopold, sister Avis Leopold, sister-in-law Linda Leopold, father-in-law Clarence Whitehead

Owen made his career as an Electrician for many years with Fundy Gypsum Company. During those years, Owen developed and maintained many lifelong friendships. Owen also developed a few different nicknames. You may know him as Brut or Grizz. Along with his career, he enjoyed doing mechanic work in his family shared garage for friends & family. Once retired, Owen did his own independent Electrical work. He took a lot of pride in his work and even more in his family.

Owen was never one to shy away from a party or a good time. His happy and calm demeanor will never be forgotten.

Cremation has taken place, a Celebration of Life will take place on February 28, 2026, at 2pm in the South West Hants Fire Station, 1884 Trunk 14 NS.
