Mildred "Millie" Wilcox Obituary

Agnes Mildred “Millie” Wilcox – 80 of Pembroke, Hants Co., passed away on March 2nd, 2026, in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Cambridge NS on October 20, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Kendall and Janie (Fish) Brown.


She is survived by loving husband of 61 years, Basil; daughter Shelley Wilcox (Phil) Sollows; son Doug Wilcox; granddaughter Sophia Sollows; sister Audrey McLellan (Morris) and brother Norman Brown (Diane predeceased).


Mildred devoted herself to family, friends and community. She delivered the mail for many years; she volunteered and fund raised for many charities and communities. One of Mildred’s favorites was participating in the annual Terry Fox Run.


Mildred loved to sing, dance, read, bake and quilt. Most of all she loved spending time with family.


In lieu of flowers, please spread seeds of kindness – volunteer or reach out to someone who needs a friend, or simply offer someone a smile. Because of Millie’s smile life was more beautiful.


Donations in her memory can be made to the Pembroke Chapel and Cemetery c/o 8589 Highway 215, The Terry Fox Foundation, or any charity that touches your heart.


A graveside service will be held in the Pembroke Cemetery, Pembroke NS, at a later date.
