David Steven Caddell of Noel, passed away at home on March 12, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with COPD and lung cancer.

Born in Noel on Jan. 24, 1951, he was a son of the late Donald and Ramona (McCulloch) Caddell. David made his final journey peacefully, on his own terms, while surrounded by his loved ones.

David is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marsha (White), along with his sons, Trevor (Katie) of Salmon River, Patrick of Oromocto, NB, daughter-in-law Brittany Edison of Kingsley, NB., grandchildren; Jensen Caddell, Logan Charlesworth, Evenlyn Edison-Caddell and Jacob Caddell. David is also survived by his brothers Edson (Eleanor), Kim, his sister Lynn (Alan) Dauphinee; nieces and nephews, Penny, Paula, Derrick, Jamie, Brittany and Thomas, and his best friend and driving companion Lucy.

Besides his parents, David was predeceased by his sons, Timothy and Tyler, his sister Donna, father and Mothers-in-law Elmer and Eva (Green) White, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Roger and Trudy White.

David lived a full and busy life. He was a 50-year member of ACRC Carpenter, Millwrights and Allied Workers. He also worked in the mining industry and landscaping before retiring in 2016.

Sometimes Dave was referred to as the energizer bunny, often working from dawn to dusk, with a work ethic that was below none.

David loved playing ball in his younger years; he loved his Blue Jay's, fishing on the bay and Lake Alma. He most of all enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, watching his grandchildren grow, having a cold beer and telling stories. He could spend hours talking, especially if at the camp.

A graveside service will be held at a later date. In true David fashion there will be a camp gathering (at a later date) to celebrate his life with stories, laughter and plenty of "spirits" to share in his memory.

The family wishes to thank everyone for their love and kindness during this difficult time.
