Wilson Gould Obituary
Wilson Eugene Gould - 97, of Dykeland Lodge, Windsor, formerly of Walton, passed away peacefully with family by his side on April 11, 2026, at Dykeland. Born in Walton on Jan. 28, 1929, he was a son of the late Lloyd and Marjory (Ettinger) Gould.
Wilson worked many years at the Walton Barite Mine as a heavy equipment mechanic and then when the mine closed, he went to Fundy Gypsum and worked for another 20 years. He enjoyed dancing and all kinds of social activities in and around the community. He also looked forward to his daily visit to the cabinet, enjoying long talks with the “CAPTAIN”. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Wilson is survived by his children Garnet and Betty (Lake), Sheri Gould, Laurie and Shawn (Wilcox) and Randi (Peter) McKinnon, 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, siblings David, Alfred, Mildred and Edith.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife Agnes (Cox), One great granddaughter Rylee Terri Lynne Cox, sisters Reta, Ruby, Margaret, Pauline, brothers Cliff, Ray, Harry, Kenny and Leslie.
A graveside committal service will be held Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. in the Pembroke Cemetery, Pembroke Hants Co., Pastor Jackie Harvey officating and a time reflection and refreshments will be held in the Walton Fire Hall following the service.
