Robert Eric Sanford-83, Walton, passed away unexpectedly at home with his wife Marilyn by his side on April 13, 2026.


Born in Walton on Jan. 18, 1943, he was a son of the late Eric and Blanche (Sanford) Sanford


In his younger years Robert worked at Steed and Evan's Construction then he moved on to work at the Esso Oil refinery until he retired.


He enjoyed hunting and fishing but most of all, he loved working in the woods and tending to his gardens. In his free time, you could always count on him stopping to chat to his long time friends.


Robert was always willing to help out his family, friends and neighbors and will be deeply missed by everyone.


Robert is survived by his wife Marilyn Taylor, brothers Burton, Richard (Marg) and Dale (Lelia), his step children Calvin, Gidget (Chris), Brandi (Dave) and several grand and great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.


Roberts wishes was to be cremated with no visitation or service. A private family burial at a later date.


Donations can be made to charity of choice.
