Raymond George Church, 87, Ellershouse, passed away on May 2, 2026, in the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in Windsor on April 8, 1939, he was a son of the late George and Minnie (Burke) Church

Ray is survived by Mary Hartt, Sisters Mary (George) Haver, Susan (Bernie ) Dunlap, brothers, David, Badell ( Cheryl ), Reid ( Sandra), sister in law Diane along with Mary’s family, Gerald (Nancy), Betty (Greg) Patton, Susan, Abner ( Naomi), Jeffrey (Kimberly), numerous nieces and nephews and step grandkids.

Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brothers Robert and Frederick (Sharon), sister-in-law Lois Church, brother-in-law Jim Williams.

Ray was a Veteran of the Halifax Police after 15 years of service and also worked at security at Foothills Hospital, Alberta for 20 years

In Rays earlier years he could be found dancing the night away at the Legion, two stepping to all the good songs, he enjoyed camping, playing crib, a good deal on anything he was buying, and sitting with the sun on his shoulders enjoying a cup of tea and a smoke. You could be sure he’d always ask how you were doing.

His Favorite sayings: I’m good, The worlds all wrong! I’m just a tourist!

Celebration of Life will be held at the Three Mile Plains Hall, May 8, 2026, From 1 -3 pm for a time of fellowship, and refreshments. A public graveside burial will be held in St Croix Cemetery at 3:30pm following the celebration.
