WHITE - Reuben Edward, age 77, of Upper Rawdon, formerly of Noel Road, passed away on August 13, 2016 in Upper Rawdon. Born in Noel Road on February 25, 1939, he was a son of the late Robie and Bessie (White) White. Reuben was a valued employee of Union Carbide for most of his working life. He loved bowling, golfing, horseracing, and baseball in his younger years. Reuben is survived by his companion, Donna Caddell; sisters, Joan (Jack) Parks, Golda Wright, Jolene (Corey) Laffin, and Shelda (David) Hamilton; brother, Reid (Marjorie) White; sister-in-law, Judy White; close friends, Judy and Alex MacKeigan; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Reuben was predeceased by his brothers, Roscoe, Arthur, and Elmo; and sister, Stella McNicoll. Cremation has taken place with no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 21, 2016 at 2pm at J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home, Kennetcook, LLWL David Danaher officiating, with a private family interment at Kennetcook Cemetery. Family flowers only; donations in memory of Reuben may be made to the Kennetcook Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of J.
