Eileen F. Keane, PhD., of Framingham, Massachusetts, and Centreville, Virginia, U.S.A., died Sunday, December 11, 2022, at home surrounded by family members. Born on March 26th, 1941, in Walton, Nova Scotia, Canada she was the daughter of the late John and Kathleen (McDonald) Cochrane. Eileen was the Program Manager for Senior Adult Mental Health (SAMH), Department of Human Services, Arlington County, Virginia until 2016. In her earlier years Eileen was a professional figure skater with Holiday on Ice and traveled the world. Eileen was known as being a career woman with a can-do attitude, often putting her people above herself. She was generous and kind natured and made friends easily. She loved the ocean, revered her friends and family and was an avid fan of women’s golf. Eileen spent the last few years of her life enjoying card games and dinners out with her friends. Eileen is survived by son Barry Keane and his wife Naoko of Virginia, daughter Kerry (Keane) Conway and her husband Daniel of Massachusetts. She was a loving grandmother to Sean, Keegan, and Brenden Keane of Virginia, and Marissa, Erica, and Leah Conway of Massachusetts. Expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the Salvation Army - salvationarmy.ca A Graveside Committal Service will be held in the Pembroke Cemetery, Pembroke at 2pm on Tuesday, August 15, 2023.
