Obituary of Blain Patterson

Patterson Lewis “Blain” -74, Summerville, passed away suddenly at home on October 1, 2023. Born in Walton on May 15, 1949, he was a son of the late Clifford and Leila (McLellan) Patterson. Blain worked for Fundy Gypsum Co. For over 30 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and his early morning visits at the store. He Loved making his daily trips to the post office and to the beach to check and make sure that the tide was either coming or going. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Blain is survived by his wife of 49 years Helen (Dill), son Mark (Janice), step-grandsons Dakota and Derrick, mother-in-law Juanita Dill and sisters- in- law Dorothy Burgess and Helen Burgess. Besides his parents he is predeceased by sisters Edna Porter, Julia Wile, Marina and her husband Carl Carmichael, Elsie, Lillian and Peggy, brothers Leslie, Frank, Clifford and Bobby Cremation has taken place and visitation will be held Saturday October 7, 2023, from 1-2 pm followed by a memorial service at 2 pm, both In the J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home, 4646 hwy 215, Summerville, Pastor Barbara Bent officiating. Private family burial in the Grace United Church Cemetery, Walton. Donations in memory of Blain can be made to the Summerville, Fire Dept.
