Lake, Margaret “Margie” Lois – 85 of East Walton NS, passed away on April 19, 2024, in the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in East Walton on September 9, 1938, Margie was the daughter of the late Nathan and Alberta (Lake) Ward. Margie enjoyed staying active in her community, attending bingo, senior get-togethers and jam sessions. She loved spending time with family and friends, travelling around the countryside to card parties and playing Skip-Bo. When Margie wasn’t on the go, she was watching out the window in anticipation of seeing the next hummingbird arrive to her feeder, this brought much joy to her. Margie is survived by children Kevin (Teresa), Harold (Crystal), Dwayne, Dorothy (Shannon); several grandchildren and greatgrandchildren; brothers John, Kenny; sister Jackie. Margie is predeceased by her husband Milton; sons Randy, Curtis; daughter Wanda Eddy; brothers Bill, Bloise, Charlie, Lowell; sisters Elsie, Grace. The Family would like to extend a special thanks to nurses on the Palliative care unit in the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 12 to 2pm at the family home – 744 Hwy 215, East Walton. Donations in memory of Margie can be made to a charity of ones’ choosing. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of the JW Allen Funeral Home, Hwy 215 Summerville (Phone 902-633-2431).
