FLYNN, Laurie Donald, age 77, of Windsor, NS, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2014 in the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born on November 2, 1936 in Wentworth, NS, he was the son of the late Ainslie and Marie (McDonald) Flynn. Laurie worked several jobs during his life, and had a great love for horses, bluegrass and fiddle music. He is survived by his wife, Catherine (Croft) Flynn; son, Laurie Jr. (Rita), Martock; grandchildren James and Kris Flynn; sister Beatrice (Bill) Walsh, Falmouth; half-brothers Mike (Betty) Flynn, Sackville, and Sandy (Michelle) Flynn, Falmouth; half-sister Velvet (Edward) Porter, McKay Section; step-children Kevin (Deborah) Caldwell, Falmouth; Darrell Caldwell, Ontario; and Leslie (Ian) MacKay, Ontario; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Laurie was predeceased by several sisters, one brother, and a daughter in infancy. Laurie will be well missed by family and friends. Cremation has taken place with a memorial service to be held at a later date. Donations in memory of Laurie can be made to a charity of one's choice.
