Obituary of Selwyn Harvey

Harvey, Selwyn Wyman, 65, of Gormanville, passed away at home on June 4, 2014. Born in Gormanville on June 24, 1948, he was the son of the late Fulton and Clare (White) Harvey. Selwyn loved to hunt and fish, and lived for Friday night visits. Selwyn is survived by his son Shawn (Deanna) Harvey and his daughter Carnita (Shane) Wells; grandchildren Kyle, Cody, Dylan, and Nick; sister Narda Matthews; nephew David Matthews; great-niece Bristol; and special friend Tucker. Besides his parents, Selwyn was predeceased by his brother-in-law Roger Matthews. Cremation has taken place with visitation from 7-9pm on Friday, June 6, 2014 at the J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home, 6571 Hwy 354, Kennetcook. A graveside committal service will be held at the North Noel Road Cemetery on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 2:00pm, Rev. Natalie Buchanan-Rutherford officiating, followed by a reception at the Green Hall. Donations in support of the family would be greatly appreciated.
