Obituary of Caroline White

White, Caroline Amelia, age 82, of Truro, formerly of North Noel Road, passed away on September 21, 2014 at Cedarstone Enhanced Care, Truro. Born in North Noel Road on January 3, 1932, Caroline was a daughter of the late Harold and Rita (White) Miller. Caroline worked at the Cara Flight Kitchen in Halifax and for Crossley Karastan Carpets in Truro. She enjoyed bingo, camping, bowling, dancing, and auto racing; she was also a member of the Christmas Club and loved attending bluegrass festivals. Everyone who knew Caroline loved her; Mom had a heart of gold. Caroline is survived by her sons, Merrill (Joy) White of North Noel Road, and Wade (Debbie Gagnon-White) White of Tatamagouche; her daughters, Janet (Randie) Tucker of North Noel Road, and Terri Nicks (Scott Greeno) of Falmouth; her grandchildren, Tammy, Nicole, Daryl, Kevin, Matthew, Ashley, Katelyn, and Rylan; her great-grandchildren, Tamara, Josie, Kendall, Dylan, Ashley, Austin, Makayla, Jordan, and Lakeisha; her sisters, Gwen, Debra, and Susan; her brothers, Merlyn, Tommy, Stanley, Herbert, and Randall, and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Caroline was predeceased by her husband, Medford White; her sons, Mervin and Michael; her brothers, Ronald and Vance; and her infant granddaughter Rebecca. Cremation has taken place with no visitation by request. A graveside committal service will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at 11am in North Noel Road Cemetery, North Noel Road, Rev. Natalie Buchanan-Rutherford officiating, with a reception to follow at the Green Hall, North Noel Road. Donations in Caroline's memory may be made to the North Noel Road Cemetery.
