Bystrom, Daniel "Dan", age 66, of Kennetcook, passed away on November 30, 2014 at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Nelson, B.C. on May 22, 1948, he was a son of the late Karl and Lois (Martinson) Bystrom. Dan was a truck driver all his life, and loved hunting and fishing. He had a great sense of humor, and was helpful to everyone, always putting others before himself. Dan is survived by his wife, Cathy (Green); his sons, Jason Bystrom, Ryan (Sue) Bystrom, both of Thunder Bay, Ont., and Brian (Monica) Meldrum, of Gormanville; his daughter, Kimberly Meldrum, of Dartmouth; his grandchildren, Jordan, Patrick, Braidon, Keely, Jonathan, Haylee, and Cameron; his great-grandchildren, Zandra and Mikaa; his brother-in-law, Bert (Madge) McCulloch; and his special friend, Dave Lingard. Besides his parents, Dan was predeceased by his parents-in-law, Harold (Chud) and Lill Green. Cremation has taken place, with a committal service to be held at the North Noel Road Cemetery at a later date. Donations in memory of Dan may be made to the North Noel Road Cemetery.
