Ethel Andrus Obituary

Andrus, Ethel Mae - 74 , Kennetcook, passed away October 25, 2012 in the Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Noel Road, she was the daughter of the late Prescott and Edith ( Singer ) White. Ethel worked in Nine Mile River at Green Valley Campgrounds and Riverland Campgrounds. She enjoyed knitting , quilting, and doing crochet work and enjoyed a good social life. She loved her family get togethers and will be dearly missed by them all, as well as her cat "Lily". She is survived by her daughters Pam ( David) White, Charlotte (Clinton Ettinger ) and son Vernon. Granddaughters Becky Sheaves, Stephanie (Matt), and great granddaughter Samantha Sheaves, her siblings Betty White, Perry ( Nellie), Madeline ( Kenny), Adreu ( Whiz), Iris, Aileen ( Johnny), Jack (Mary), sister in law Norie, and brother in law Bruce. She was predeceased by a sister Arleen, brothers Max, Earlin, and Wilfred, brother in law Earl, and sister in law Lucy. Cremation has taken place with visitation October 29,2012 from 7 to 9 pm and a memorial service will be held Tuesday October 30, 2012 at 2 pm both in the J Wilson Allen Funeral home, Hwy 354 Kennetcook. Rev. Angus R MacDonald officating with a private family burial in North Noel Road Cemetery, followed by a reception in the little White Hall, Noel Road. Donations can be made to the SPCA or the East Hants Hospice Society, POBox 1113, Truro Nova Scotia, B2N 5G9. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of the J.
