Obituary of Wilda Gavel

Wilda Anne Gavel-88, Cambridge, Hants Co., passed away on February 22, 2015 in QE11 New Infirmary Site, Halifax. Born in Cambridge, Hants Co., she was a daughter of the late Cecil and Maud (Spearing) Newcomb. Anne was very musical and enjoyed playing her accordion. She also like to garden, feed the birds and being a stay at home mom. She is survived by her daughters, Amy Gavel, Waterville, and Carolyn (Blaine) Allen, Cheverie; sons, Blaine (Vicki), Cambridge and Leonard (Dolly), Halifax; 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, sisters, Margaret Vail, Ohio, U.S.A., Byrne Burgess, Mississauga, Ont. and Jean and Shirley Newcomb, Windsor, N.S. She was predeceased by her husband Enos, sister Gale, and brothers, Howard and John. Cremation has taken place with no visitation by request. A public graveside committal service will be held in High Head Cemetery, Cambridge, Hants Co. on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 2pm, Lois Brison-Brown officiating. Donations can be made to High Head Cemetery or charity of choice . Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of J.
