DILL - Eldon Charles, 66, of Upper Burlington, passed away peacefully at home on April 13, 2015. Born on December 16, 1948, he was the son of the late Charles and Helena (Clarke) Dill of Upper Burlington. He worked as a bricklayer for over forty years, mostly with Diaden Masonry, where he was always known as Farmer. Eldon loved spending many hours in the woods at his camp, hunting and most of all cutting and splitting his own firewood. He was proud of the good supply of wood he always had in his yard. One of his favorite pastimes was telling his grandchildren stories about his childhood, even the mischievous ones. Eldon is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sharon (Salter); son Les (Annette), of Souris, PEI, and their children Alexa, Courtney, and Tyler; son Andy (Heather), of Summerville, and their children Nikki (Dustin), Bradley, and Johnathan; daughter Bev (Michael) Payzant, of Falmouth, and their children Hunter, Ayden, and Taylor; sisters Ethel (David) Halbgewachs and Reta (Graham) Zwicker; brother Warren (Hazel) Dill; mother-in-law Shirley (Carmen) Crowell; brother-in-law Malcolm (Marlene) Salter; and several nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his four-legged buddy, Jake. The family wishes to thank the Palliative Care team for their care and kindness. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 from 7-9pm at J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home, Summerville, with a funeral service on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at 2pm at Kempt United Baptist Church, Summerville, Rev. Garnet Parker officiating; followed by a committal service at Card Beach Road Cemetery, Centre Burlington. Following the service there will be a reception at the Centre Burlington Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Eldon may be made to any Volunteer Fire Department or a charity of one's choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of J.
