Obituary of Murray White

White - Murray Elwyn, age 83, of North Noel Road, passed away peacefully at home on May 18, 2015 with his family by his side. Born in North Noel Road on April 7, 1932, he was a son of the late Allen and Essie (Harvie) White. During his working life, Murray was a woodsman who owned and operated a sawmill, and worked in construction pouring concrete. He loved to play crib, and was a fan of NASCAR races and the Toronto Blue Jays. Murray is survived by his wife, Dorothy Burns; daughters, Kerry (Bruce) McLellan and Anne (Leon) Fahey; sons, Roger (Ann) and Farrell (Donna Harvie); grandchildren, Derek (Darlene), Justin (Liam), Matthew (Crystal), Melissa, Nathan, Shelby, Brittany, Cassie, Emily, and Delanie; great-grandchildren, Megan and Ty; great-great-grandson Brody; sister, Hilda White; brother, Aubrey White; mother-in-law, Vera Burns; son-in-law, Yves Boisvert; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Murray was predeceased by his daughter, Mary Elizabeth; sisters, Nettie, Greta, Letitia, Olive, Edith, and Mary; brother Burton; two brothers and two sisters in infancy; father-in-law, Frank Burns; and grandson Tyler Kirk in infancy. Cremation has taken place, with a service to be held at North Noel Road Cemetery at a later date. Donations in memory of Murray may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of the J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home, Hwy 354, Kennetcook.
