Obituary of Nora White

Nora A. White, 78, of Noel Road, Hants Co. It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Nora White at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro on May 25th, 2015, with her loving family by her side. Born in Noel Road, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Della (Burgess) White. "Norie-Aud" as she was kindly referred to, was a care taker to all who knew her. She spent much of her career as a certified nursing assistant at the Sanitorium in Kentville, The Beaverbank Villa, Masonic lodge, and several private residences. Nora also enjoyed doing hair and at one time had her own shop at her home. Nora was the life of the party. She enjoyed camping and sitting around the campfire with guitar in hand having a sing-song. In her day, she could spend hours at the mall. Nora was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was very proud of her family and you would always hear her talking about them. Nora is survived by her daughter Sonya (Raymond) Bujold, granddaughter Renee Bujold, grandson Benjamin Bujold, and sister Madeline White, all of Noel Road. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews, and her special friends Madge, Donna, Betty, Perry and Jack, to name a few. She was predeceased by her husband, Max (Stewart); and an infant brother, Terry. The family would like to thank Dr. Michele MacLean, the VON, and the nurses and staff at D3 Colchester Hospital for their special care. Your kindness and compassion will never be forgotten. Cremation has taken place with visitation from 7-9 p.m. Friday May 29, 15 in the J Wilson Allen Funeral home, Hwy 354 Kennetcook and a private family burial at a later date in St. James Presbyterian Cemetery. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the St James Presbyterian Church in Noel Road or the Canadian Cancer Society.
